Cybersecurity & AI
A Single Country Project for India
May 21-27, 2025
The esteemed delegates from India had a productive time exploring San Antonio and engaging with cybersecurity and AI professionals. As San Antonio is the second-largest cybersecurity hub in the United States, outside of Washington D.C., this was an excellent opportunity for our international visitors to learn about the collaboration and advancement of cybersecurity and AI initiatives in the United States.
During their time in San Antonio, the delegates met with the following people and organizations to further explore cybersecurity and AI themes in San Antonio:
The first meeting during their time in San Antonio was with representatives from CyberTexas Foundation to discuss cyber workforce development and educational programs with San Antonio’s youth.
A specialist in AI from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), a technology and artificial intelligence professional, met with our esteemed delegates to exchange ideas and experience with AI trends, emerging technology, and the intersection of AI, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The delegates met with speakers from Tech Port at Port San Antonio to discuss how Tech Port supports innovative talent and how it has evolved into a technology hub. The delegates also enjoyed a site tour of Tech Port and the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology (SAMSAT).
The delegates spent the morning with the team at the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) to learn about the institute's technological advancements and testing, including how AI is transforming healthcare and the role of robotics in advancing medical applications.
The City of San Antonio’s Global Engagement Office, welcomed the visitors before their visit to the Alamo Regional Security Operations Center (ARSOC), where they provided an overview of how ARSOC serves as a national model for collaborative efforts in strengthening cybersecurity and enhancing the resiliency of critical infrastructure.
The visitors also enjoyed their weekend in San Antonio, exploring the city and attending cultural activities. Outside of professional meetings, the visitors went to the Bandera Memorial Weekend Rodeo Stampede and also attended home hospitality dinners hosted by our SACIV Citizen Diplomats.
