Ms. De Gortari holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from UNAM, with an emphasis in organizational development. She also holds credential in Project Management from the University of California at Irvine, credentials in Psychology from the University of Santa Monica and Post-graduate research in non-profit organizations.

Throughout her professional journey, she has held management positions in Mexico and the United States in institutions such as the National Council for Science and Technology, the Bank of Foreign Trade, The Chamber of Commerce of Murcia, APPI Corporation and The Learning Trust. Paula received a Certificate of Recognition from the Senate of the State of California, which is given to those who focus on environmental affairs, inclusivity, tolerance, education and gender equality rights. This acknowledgement was granted due to her extraordinary leadership and professionalism within the Los Angeles community. In 2023, Ms. De Gortari joined the Rotary Club of San Antonio in order to better serve the community and help others.

 

Under her direction, UNAM San Antonio has continued its leadership as a leading
academic Institution that focuses on bilingual development at all levels, a better
understanding of educational issues that impact Mexico and the United States and
the promotion of a better society through quality, inclusiveness and equal education.
Paula de Gortari, has shown a strong interest in developing avenues which promote
the City of San Antonio, and the State of Texas through the broad scientific, cultural
and educational acumen that UNAM has to offer.
